This sub-fond is contains files relating to the administration of St. Joseph's School for the Blind, it contains query sheets to admit blind individuals, memoranda, and reports of the care of the blind from the early 20th Century, some material relating to the administration of the School such as documents relating to the burial of some of the inmates,' applications for admissions, applications to becomeoutdoor' workers. This sub-fond also contains some correspondence with General Eoin O'Duffy. The second box contains correspondence with solicitors and tenants of property owned by the Carmelites.
Much of this material was found in archival boxes in the archive of Clonturk House having been transferred from the school at St. Joseph's. Some other material was found in an old wooden filing cabinet and still more was found in deteriorating envelopes. The second box of material was discovered and subsequently added and consists of material which is thematically similar
