In his opinion Communist indoctrination courses are successful because of the methods they employ and because they relate to the lives of those taking the course. An intimate atmosphere is created and the lecturer leads a ‘controlled discussion’. His aim is to get two or three points accepted by everybody in the class and in such a way that the participants think they themselves arrived at the conclusion.
