Scope and content

Minutes of ‘V’ Committee meeting. The following items are mentioned in the report: a notice was produced stating that a branch of the College of Scientology would be started in Dun Laoghaire if there was sufficient demand. A friend of Dr, O’Halloran’s attended a meeting and bought a book, read it, but could not understand it. Dr. O’Halloran also read it and said the words used were completely new to him. Fr. Kent referred to training nurses for St. Anthony’s Hospital from cuttings from The Evening Mail. The Secretary phoned to enquire about the free course. He was told it had a threefold purpose: to make an individual more efficient in whatever work he was doing to control himself better how to control others. As the course uses Scientological methods it is clear that the American College of Personnel Efficiency and the College of Scientology are one and the same. A report was given on the trouble between Irish Shipping and the MP&GWU.
