Scope and content

Typed letter to Fr. Diffney. She spoke to Gerry Kerrigan about the Workers’ Union. Efforts were made last year to bring Larkin’s activities before the rank and file. Kerrigan and his group have worked to gain control of various sections and have succeeded in many places. Now wants a priest “who is well up in these matters (union) to advise him. The Differential Rent Association has formed a Central Council. McCarthy told her that they have got rid of most of the disturbers in the Association. Regarding the IHA she thinks and hopes that it is on the way out. A Mrs Kent who was strong among the Protestant section is going to live in Canada and this will have the effect of breaking up that little group.
