Scope and content
Typed letter reporting the insolent manner Deputy Booth gave his opinion at a meeting of the Dun Laoire Comhairle Ceanntair relating to an incident where IRA prisoners were refused to hear Mass. As these men were members of an illegal organisation it was immaterial whether they heard Mass or not. Stated that the Late Sean South and Fergal O’Hanlon had been excommunicated by their Church, condemned by their Bishops and died in mortal sin. Both Lionel and Basil Booth are always waiting to get a crack at the Church.
