Copy letter from +McQuaid to +Alibrandi regarding the reception for the celebration of the anniversary of the Coronation of the Pope. He believes the reception should be retained. It occurs only once a year and is not an expensive affair. ‘To abandon it would cause much surprise and comment.’ It provides a useful contact between the Nunciature and members of the public who would never meet otherwise.
