Bonaventure Obsert, C.P., Rome: G. refers to accounts of our HF's vision of his children in Ingleterra (England). He says this is not mentioned in the Processes. It first appears in BId Dominic's Preface to the Oratorian Life, (see 6-7 of Life of St. Paul of the Cross Vol. 1, under serial no 3388) and then in Fr Pius' Devine's "Life" (see The Life of St. Paul of the Cross by Pius Devine pp 413-414, under serial no.3391). This statement has evidently been criticized by Fr. Egidio (Postulator). G. will not retract what he has written unless proved wrong. Quotes in support of his integrity fact that USA Carmelite nuns have translated his book and that Edmund Burke has been asked by his Provincial to do likewise.
