Letter from Ferdinando d’Ardia Caracciolo, The Island, Waterford, to +McQuaid stating his surprise and pain at not receiving an invitation to the Pontifical Mass at the Pro- Cathedral. He is a Private Chamberlain to His Holiness and a dignitary of the Pontifical Court. He feels it is disrespectful to the position and on previous occasions, the seat assigned to him was also not suitable.
