Handwritten draft and three typed copies of a letter to the Taoiseach from +McQuaid. He anticipates the formal reply of the Hierarchy by expressing his deep appreciation of the loyalty shown by him and his colleagues by deferring to the judgement of the Hierarchy in moral aspects of the Scheme. Another Scheme consonant with Catholic principles will receive the support of the Bishops.
