Copy of a letter from Mgr. Kappes to Msgr. McGowan. It states that St. Anthony’s Hospital did place advertisements for registered nurses in several Irish newspapers. They did not require attendance at the American College of Personnel Efficiency and would prefer if they did not do so. The Hospital was also in touch with an International Employment Agency in Windsor, Canada. The Agency was contacted by a Dr. Phillips, 69 Merrion Square, Dublin, on the 25th July 1957, asking about the jobs and the state of St. Anthony’s Hospital. It suggests that he is the one who placed the advertisement in Irish newspapers. Neither Mgr. Kappes or the Sisters at the Hospital knew anything about Scientology.
