Dr. Farrington was Secretary o f the Royal Hibernian Academy. Mrs Farrington, nee Synge, is a niece of Millington Synge. Their son, Conor, is a promising actor. The family are professed Socialists and sympathetic to Soviet Russia. Dr. Farrington is a member of the Society of Friends and Mrs Farrington is a dedicated worker for the abolition of nuclear warfare. Farringtons do not try to influence Catholic parishioners.
