O’Connell that one of her teachers, Miss Sara Ita Daly, is a Communist. Miss Daly denied it when asked. Colonel Michael Hefferon told him that Miss Daly was a member of the Communist Party since 1967. The dismissal of Miss Daly would be opposed on ‘political’ grounds Col.
