Copy letter from +McQuaid to +Browne stating he had met with the Minister for Health, Mr. O’Higgins. He discusses problems in all the hospitals and mentions Portiuncula in particular. He thinks they should meet with the Minister so he can hear their opinions.

Includes; "A list of the Indulgences granted by Pope Clement the 14th and by his present Holiness Pope Pius the 6th to the Ursuline Nuns …" (c1800); "Ex audientia Ssmi D.N., Dni Pii Div Piov PPVII habita die 26 Aprilis 1818" with translation; "At an audience of His Holiness, had on the 11th of June 1843" at which he granted a plenary Indulgence to the Presentation; "The decree of His Holiness Pius IX regarding the Privilege of wearing the Ring" (1855); "Constitutio Dogmatica de Fide Catholica"; "Indulgence of the Portiuncula" (25 July 1918).

Letter from +Riberi to +McQuaid thanking him for the enclosures regarding Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe. He thanks his also for his help in trying to resolve this dispute. He also expresses his gratitude for the assistance given to him by the Archbishop during his time as Nuncio. He is now leaving to take up his new position in Spain.
