Manifold, Deidre, Thomas Street, Limerick. She is grateful to the Archbishop for visiting Patrick (Kavanagh) in hospital. He is in physical and mental shock. She has written to the Taoiseach informing him of his illness. (She was Kavanagh’s girlfriend). LETTER IN KAVANAGH FILE.

Handwritten letter to + McQuaid from Deidre Manifold, Thomas Street, Limerick. She is grateful that he went to see Patrick who is weak after the operation and is very low. She wonders what is to become of him as he is completely penniless. She has informed the Taoiseach. Wonders if a small group could be organized to contribute a little each week while the need exists.

Note in + McQuaid’s hand congratulating Fr. Patrick O’Neill as Bishop Elect of Limerick.
