Overseas Missions; Johannesburg: photocopy of handwritten letter from Fergus Loughrey, C.P., Provincial to Bishop Boyle enclosing a preliminary draft of a contract between the Passionists and the Bishop and requesting his observations on it as soon as possible. The draft contracrt covers the Rule, Regulations and Missionary Statuta of the Congregation: stipends, stole fees and gifts: right to establish a retreat in or near Johannesburg: work of the Fathers in the Parish of Carletonville: accomodation: bed and board: leave for those Passionists assigned to Diocesan work; nomination by the Province of those who may engage in Diocesan work: right to appeal in the church at Charletonville in aid of Passionist interests.
