File relating to the shooting of Thomas Henry Hornibrook, J.P., Ballygroman House, Ovens, Cork and his son-in-law, Mr. Woods, ex-British Army Officer on 26 April 1922 by armed Irregulars. Mention of Mr. Hornibrook’s son who lived in New Zealand. Letter dated 15 September 1948 refers to the finding of the bodies by the Gardai and their subsequent secret burial in a Protestant cemetery. The family was never notified.
