Scope and content

Mount Argus: Bequests: George Tandy Wilkinson's Estate: copy letter from Fr. Sebastian Slean, C.P., Rector, Mount Argus, to Rev. Fr. William Arthur Bolger, 8 Mansion Row, Old Brompton, Chatham, Kent, England in the matter. Got Fr B's letter of 21st. Pity things had to go to court: replies to Fr. B' points: 1) it was from the Irish law people, and not the English solr. that he had come to know about the matter: 2) no question but that Judge Wylie ruled against CPs on ground of Penal Law and that only: 3) The Roman decision was one made years before on a case between a Bishop and a Rel. order: 4) He thinks Fr.B'S suggestion is very reasonable: 5) there is no diff. if the cash is left to the Rector, if the Irish legal phrase is used. S. suggests though that a Deed be drawn up cover Miss Bolger's interest and Fr B'S.
