              Correspondence between Micheal Breathnach, Dept. of Education, and +McQuaid concerning the contributions to new schools. In Mount Merrion the two schools -Christian Brothers and Sacred Heart Sisters- will each receive £600 from the Parish, while in Raheny the Parish will contribute £400 to the Raheny School. Fr. Wm. Fitzpatrick has agreed to replace the late Mgr. McArdle on the representative Committee.

              Four advertisements taken from newspapers and sellotaped. One advertised jobs in St. Anthony’s Hospital, Ohio, for nurses. A requirement was the attendance at a free Personnel Efficiency Course at the American College of Personnel Efficiency, 69 Merrion Square. Technical and unskilled personnel were offered a course “to solve problems of handling employment and promotion.”

              Typed report of ‘V’ Committee meeting. The following items are mentioned in the report: Mr. Fitzgerald’s publicity officer in the general election campaign was John de Courcey Ireland. Dr. Morris is reported as living at Grey Gates, Mount Merrion. His predecessor, L.R. Hubbard, lived at 34 Grey Gates, Mount Merrion. The Blue Sisters have a hospital in Chicago called the Little Company of Mary Hospital, Evergreen Park, Illinois.
