McCarthy has been offered the services of the Gardaí if required, and an Old I.R.A. man told him that some of his comrades would be at hand if they could be of help.

Harrington, Provincial of the Dominican Province which came to Dublin in 1226. Another has been given to the Mother Abbess of the Poor Clare’s, Harold’s Cross whose convents dates from 1712. The last has been given to Rev. Cathal McCarthy, President of Clonliffe College which celebrates its centenary.
