Letter from J. McConnell, St. Patrick’s, Maynooth to Chris stating that he had discussed the reception of the new Nuncio at the College with the President. He mentioned the ceremony and asked what instructions were being given to the Hierarchy to which the President replied ‘…they should appear in choir dress. As far as the actual ceremonies are concerned, he intended to follow the directions of the Archbishop of Dublin and that he was already in touch with Fr. Cathal McCarthy in order to obtain the relevant information’.
