Letter from Fr. Michael T. MacSweeney to +McQuaid saying he will forward the suggested contribution from Maynooth to Fr. Glennon.
Handwritten letter to +McQuaid from Nicholas Barron. Was asked by the Women’s Societies and Social Workers to draft an act. Did so with the help of Drs. McCarthy and Lucey, St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth, and brother members of the Irish Bar. Anxious to know if the Bishops consider an Adoption Act as feasible, and if so whether his draft has the necessary precautions.

Letter from +Keogh to +McQuaid concerning a student who has received a county council scholarship which can only be availed of at the national University and not Maynooth and so wondered if the student could live in Clonliffe College and attend UCD. Annotation that it is a pleasure to fix him up and he is directed to write to the president.

Letter from +Keogh to +McQuaid. He asks whether an elderly priest who lives in his diocese but spends five or six weeks a year with his sister in the city could be given permission to habitually celebrate Mass in his sister’s house. Annotation that Dr K himself at Maynooth advised against giving this permission even per modum actus.
Letter from Fr. John Fitzpatrick to +McQuaid asking permission to allow Dr. Cremin of the Canon Law Faculty, Maynooth, to borrow their Baptism Register. An entry may be examined by the judge in court.

He also states that some of the Maynooth Students have joined the University Students Movement. The Pax Romana National Congress is going to be held there at Easter.
