              Handwritten letter to Fr. Mangan from Jim O’Brien. Says he cannot get to his Legion of Mary meetings any more due to parish work. Feels he is doing more harm than good by holding on. A Mrs. Divine, Chief of the British Educational Department of Communication, lectured here during the week. Talks mocked God.

              Letter from Br. Eugene Quilligan to +McQuaid regarding Fr. Lu. His own diocese was overrun by communists. His Bishop has since died and his immediate superior is in Germany. He is a member of the Society of the Divine Word and holds a Doctorate in Canon Law from Rome. His celebret was examined at the Vicariate in Westland Row. Annotated by Fr. Christopher Mangan.               Handwritten letter to Fr. Mangan from Jim O’Brien. Is thankful that the Legion Praesidium has been removed from him. Would like to stay with the Leo League if allowed. ‘Friendship’ is the work of the League. He gets to know various Trade Union leaders and they get to know the Divine Character of the priesthood. Its work is submitted to the Archbishop.
