Archbishop approves foundations for schools at Walkinstown and Cabra West on explicit condition that ‘…the Brothers must observe honorably the provisions of their own Constitution’ for he is opposed to ‘enrolling only intelligent boys of a certain middle class.’ St. John of God Brothers interested in the Christian Brother property at Celbridge, ‘Artane is the most trying post in your Congregation; about 10 times too large.’ 87 items

Maciel, founder and Superior General [in the early years of the 21st century, Maciel was found guilty of moral improprieties and sanctions were imposed on him]. Msgr. Tom Fehily and Msgr. Richard Glennon, Vicar General, give advice. Bishop Dunne is reticent. Permission granted for Vicariate and scholasticate. Property acquired at Hazelbrook, Malahide. [Glennon was a former student of the Irish College, Salamanca].
