Details of the mesting of the Bishops of the Munster Province held in Fermoy 6 May and following days; among the regulations is an injunction to the Parisb Priest to keep Baptismal and Marriage Registers, under pain of suspensior;: clergy forbidden to attend Station dinners, to be present at public horse races, publie balls etc. Dr. Michael Slattery has added a note to the effect that these Provincial Regulations were never fully promulgated in the Cashel diocese. Card. Consalvi te Dr. R. Laffan Announces the appointment of Dr. Robert Laffan as archbishop ef Gashel. (No mention of Emly) On the reverse side of Bull is a note, signed by Dr. Daniel Murray, to the sffect that he consecrated Dr. Laffan in Thurles en 6 July, 1823. (In Latin)
Fr. Mokncree was originally belonging to the Cashel diocese, but was granted an exeat during the inter-regnum in 1622; as a Vicar-Capitular cannot grant a definitive exeat, Fr. MoEncree was never fully released from Cashelk/ altheugh Dr. t. is his request to return is quite legal, reluctant to let him go; testifies to Fr. Mctnereets good character and zeal. Dr. Laffan has added a note giving text of original 'exest' grsnted by him (L.) en 13 July 1922.
