Constitution of the Catholic Boys’ Brigade authorised under the patronage of the Most Rev. William J. Walsh, Archbishop of Dublin. One copy is endorsed on the front cover ‘Founded by Fr. Benvenutus Guy OFM Cap.’. The file contains eight copies of the document.

Schedules containing statements showing the ‘number of persons who, prior to the disaster, resided in Nos. 66 and 67 (the houses were completely demolished), the number killed, injured, and left homeless. The statement also includes the number killed and injured in house No. 64, and the amount of grants given’. Other schedules refer to the number of persons who vacated adjoining properties ‘through a reasonable sense of fear at the collapse of the houses 66 and 67 …’ and other relief actions to be taken.

The file includes:
• Meeting of the St. Patrick League of the Cross at Church Street.
• Reports relating to the solemn triduum in honour of the Blessed Mary Magdalen at St. Mary of the Angels, Church Street ('Freeman’s Journal', 10 June 1901) at which Archbishop William Walsh referred to the continuing disabilities against Catholic religious orders particularly in respect of bequests which have been declared illegal by the courts.
• Report on a retreat for the Brothers of the Third Order of St. Francis at St. Mary of the Angels led by Fr. Augustine Hayden OSFC and Fr. Pius Duggan OSFC. The Rosary was recited ‘for the speedy release of the Irishmen who are now suffering in English Prisons’. 'Evening Herald', 6 Nov. 1916.

Photograph prints of a Eucharistic Procession outside St. Mary of the Angels, Church Street. Br. Columcille Cregan OFM Cap. (1897-1979) is seen at the head of the procession of altar-servers. One of the celebrants is Fr. John Butler OFM Cap. (1873-1950). One of the prints is ink-stamped on the reverse: 'Irish Independent'.

Photographic prints of the High Altar, St. Mary of the Angels, Church Street. The church and altar appear to be decorated for the Forty Hours’ Devotion ('Quarant’ Ore'). A wider view of the decorated church interior is pasted onto the reverse of one of the larger prints.

A history of the Irish Capuchin mission in Northern Rhodesia (later Zambia) compiled by Fr. Luke Browne OFM Cap. (1920-2008). The history traces the history of the mission in a chronological format from 1930 to 1981. Particular attention is given to the arrival of missionary friars, the work of clerical and lay mission personnel, relations with local communities, the construction of mission stations, schools and hospitals in Barotseland (later the Western Province of the Republic of Zambia) and to various mission appointments and transfers. Fr. Luke arrived in Northern Rhodesia in 1948 and the text includes many of his personal recollections of the mission. The file also includes a copybook containing text in Irish by Fr. Luke recounting his initial experiences as a missionary from 1948-50.

‘This is Parow in the Cape Flats. We could build a church and convent in the foreground. … The orphanage is in the distance’.
‘Parow / the ground in front is Vicariate-owned. Building on left is church. The other buildings are the orphanage’.
‘Three of the coloured orphans at the little Oratory, Parow’.
‘Fr. Kelly’s Church in the heart of the Flats. Typical flat country with occasional roads thro it. But he has very few residents in such a place. He is very old now and I expect we shall be asked to take it later. He has his own house and four mission churches attached – all built by his own parishioners’ hands’.

File containing photographic prints of the Stewart-Bam residence at Ards House, Creeslough, County Donegal. These are images of the residence (and former owners) before the Capuchin friars took possession of Ards House in 1930. Some of the prints were reproduced in 'A history of Ards' (1991) by Fr. David Kelleher OFM Cap. The file includes:
• Copy print of the gardens at Ards House in 1859. Fr. David notes that this photograph was taken by David Knox (1821-1895).
• Sir Pieter von Blommenstein Bam in the uniform of a Lieutenant Colonel during the Boer War in South Africa, c.1900.
• The staff of Ards House in 1906. The photograph is annotated on the reverse with the names of the male and female servants.
• Servants and staff welcoming the newly married Ena Dingwell Tasca Stewart-Bam and Sir Pieter von Blommenstein Bam (d. 20 Dec. 1928) at Ards House in 1910. The smaller copy of the print has the following annotation: ‘Taken over 20 years ago, at some kind of reception given to the Stewards by his tenants xx – Sir Peter and Lady Stewart. Arrow on photograph points to present gardener (W. Barr)’.
• An original print of a group with two jarveys outside Ards House in about 1910.
• Copy print of a sketch map of the Ards Estate Home Farm Offices, the property of A.J.R. Stewart.
• Ena Dingwell Tasca Stewart-Bam on the front stairway in Ards House in c.1910.
• A woman with a young child (presumably tenants) outside a cottage on the Ards Estate.
