A typescript annotation on the reverse of the print reads: 'Laying the foundation stone of new Dublin church / 27 July 1931 / The Archbishop of Dublin yesterday blessed and laid the foundation stone for the new Church of St. Anne at Shankill, Dublin / The Archbishop of Dublin praying at the foot of the cross surrounded by a huge congregation'. A manuscript letter and report titled ‘Lectures on Consumption and Fevers in South Connemara’. (c.1908). Reference is made in the letter to ‘Mr [Patrick] Pearse, editor of An Claidheamh Soluis’, and to various public lectures on health-related matters in the Connemara district. The item appears to be incomplete, and the author of the report is not given.
