Copy letter from +McQuaid to +Sensi stating that he has decided to set up a Diocesan Press Office with an experience, highly-trained journalist in charge, Osmond Dowling. The new office will be at 62-63 Eccles Street, the site of the Dublin Institute of Catholic Sociology. He hopes this will assist in executing more effectively the pastoral aims of the Decree on the Instruments of Social Communication.

A procession to commemorate 1798 is being organised and people have been asked to decorate their houses. There is reluctance on the part of the clergy in High Street, Meath Street, Francis Street and James’ Street to encourage their people to participate. Asks the Archbishop for his assistance in the matter.
