Typed letter to + McQuaid from Tony Heffernan, Ard Runai, Sinn Fein, drawing his attention to the recent remarks of Fr. Michael Cleary on the Late Late Show of 11th December and Sunday Independent of 12th December saying that “Sinn Fein is Communist inspired and controlled.” This statement is without foundation. These remarks have caused distress to members. He requests the Archbishop to ask Fr. Cleary to substantiate his charges or desist from making allegations of this nature.

Handwritten letter to Fr. Diffney. Prescott owns Cooks of Dun Laoire which distributes some of the filthy magazines. Three vacancies on Visiting Committee of Dundrum Asylum. Asked by Sean McEntee to go on the Committee. Is there anything she should know? Mrs. Cleary teaches in Mount Anvil. She was a follower of Dr. Betty O’Shea. Would consider her unfit to teach. As Secretary of International Committee of IHA she received some letters from Poland, Germany and France.
