Bro. Laurence Carr C.P. Born Belfast, Rosemary St. 1834. The first native of Belfast to join
the Order of the Passion. Clothed in the Habit 1853--57years ago. One of the Pioneers of
the Order to go out to Australia 1887 where he still (1910) lives.

Carr, C.P., Laurence; Blessed Dominic Barberi, C.P.: PRECIS of letter from Fr Joseph Smith, CP, to Mrs Barstow, Woodfield House, the Hyde, London. Bro. Lawrence Carr reports Bld Dominic was at the Hyde 3 to 4 years prior to he (Laurence) being a Novice (which was 1852). Dominic .did not live in the house. Altar of the house may now, Joseph says, be in Hendon. This precis was made by Fr. Declan O'Sullivan, C.P., at Highgate from envelope B of Ignatius Spencer's letters.
