The correspondence with Fr. Angelus O’Neill OFM Cap., guardian, relates to a demand for three years’ rent (totalling £225) which had not been collected due to an administrative oversight.

The entries are arranged under the headings of organiser’s/collector’s name, address, collecting district and monthly collection totals. Most of the districts were in the north inner city and surrounding areas. Ink stamp on inside cover reads: ‘Our Lady of Angels, Church Street’.

The statements cover the periods: 8 Jan. 1937-28 Nov. 1939; 16 May 1949; 1 May 1952-25 Nov. 1955; 30 Nov. 1955-26 May 1960; 27 May 1960-29 June 1963; 31 Jan. 1962-31 Dec. 1965. The accounts provide details of cheques paid to various recipients and to lodgements made in cash and by cheque. The latter sets of statements are bound within soft covers with gilt title to cover.
