This sub-series contains plans, drawings and architectural or engineering specifications and blueprints for properties and premises acquired by the Capuchins in Kilkenny. The section includes many drawings for the extension to the Friary, designed by Samuel F. Hynes (1854-1931), and completed in 1897. It all also includes plans (by the architect Sylvester Bourke) for the extension to the Capuchin novitiate at the Kilkenny Friary which was completed in 1960.

With copy schedule of the properties to which the foregoing deed refers. Number eight in the schedule refers to the house and concerns on Walkin Street held under a lease of lives renewable forever dated 25 May 1835. (See CA KK/2/1/1/1/4).

Surrender by Thomas Douglas Yourell, salesmaster, Smithfield, and Rosetta Yourella, widow, Bessborough Terrace, Dublin, to Fr. Lawrence Gallerani OSFC, Fr. James Edward Tommins OSFC and Fr. Daniel Patrick O’Reilly OSFC, North King Street, (‘the grantees’) of premises known as 47 North King Street, in consideration of the sum of £200 and discharged from annuities of £50 and £10. Draft agreement of John Maher with Jane Revell regarding his tenancy of houses, yards and plots of ground on the south side of North Brunswick Street for the term of 999 years at the yearly rent of £30. Maher refers to the ‘dilapidated state’ of the premises which are ‘likely to be condemned by the Corporation authorities … and also ‘the falling off of the value of property in this neighbourhood caused by the removal of Smithfield Market’.
