This section mainly includes organisational records, correspondence, clippings, financial records, scripts, and printed material related to Feis events.
Pennyfeather Lane is a minor lane connecting Friary Street (formerly Walkin Street) to High Street and Patrick Street in the centre of Kilkenny city. In the early part of the twentieth century the Capuchins held property on the Lane from Sir Lionel Harty of Belrobin, Dundalk, County Louth. In 1911, it was noted that the Capuchins held two houses on Pennyfeather Lane. On 29 Sept. 1916 a property lease was secured from the representatives of Sir Lionel Harty for 99 years at an annual rent of £60. A portion of this property was sub-let to tenants to cover some of the rent due to the Harty estate (Dr Reginald Griffin leased one house). The outright purchase of the premises on Pennyfeather Lane from the Harty Estate was accomplished in May 1940.
This section includes volumes containing notices of masses, confessions and other religious events held in St. Mary of the Angels, Church Street, Dublin.
A collection of trophies, medals and other artefacts associated with the Father Mathew Feis in Dublin. Most of the cups and trophies are sliver. All measurements are approximate.
This section includes registers and appointment books recording the names of Capuchin priests celebrating masses at Holy Trinity Church in Cork. Historical mass books (pre-dating circa 1970) have evidently been lost. However, Fr. Angelus Healy OFM Cap. (1875-1953) took extracts from some of the original (and now lost) mass registers for the purposes of his historical research. Some of this research has survived (see CA HT/7/7 and CA HT/7/8).
