Typed minutes of ‘V’ Committee meeting. The following items are mentioned in the report: the Committee discussed the Communist activities as published in The Sunday Independent. There are no new developments. Russia is endeavouring to build relations with European countries and Trade Union groups and Congresses. The Peoples’ College is receiving a small grant from the ICTU Rory Roberts is a keen supporter. The College caters for few trade unionists. Michael O’Leary, a graduate of UCC, was unexpectedly elected. He is friendly with Mr. Coughlan, TCD, formally the chief organizer of Connolly Clubs in Britain. The TV programme, ‘Teen Talk’, was discussed and praised, but some topics could be handled more prudently.
