Typed letter to Fr. Diffney. Regarding the education of the Differential Committee (of the Rent Association) the best policy is to let the men think that Fr. Divine is friend of hers (Mrs Byrne). She has asked him to have a chat with the men. Sean Brady met de Valera and made a great impression on him. He told Sean that he is in complete agreement with him. Next thing is to get a third man to replace Booth.

Handwritten letter to Fr. Martin regarding a play in The Pike called ‘The Rose Tattoo’. Wants the play stopped. Sean Brady has put the matter in the hands of the Dept. of Justice. If theatre manager proceeds the necessary steps will be taken to stop it. Was approached to see if anything could be done with Censorship Board. It is in a bad way since Figgis and Comyn were co-opted on to it.
