Schedule for the procession of the coffins of Fr. Albert Bibby OFM Cap. and Fr. Dominic O’Connor OFM Cap. from their arrival at Shannon Airport to their arrival at Holy Trinity Church in Cork. The timetable includes processions in Limerick city, Croom, Rathnure, Buttevant, Mallow and Cork city (from Dublin Hill to Holy Trinity Church, Father Mathew Quay). Photographic prints of the repatriation and reburial of the bodies of Fr. Albert Bibby OFM Cap. and Fr. Dominic O’Connor in the cemetery of Rochestown Capuchin Friary, County Cork. Includes photographs of the arrival of the coffins at Shannon Airport. Other prints show the coffins at the High Altar in Holy Trinity Church, Cork, where a special Solemn Mass was celebrated. Some of the photographs show An Taoiseach Éamon de Valera, President Seán T. O’Kelly and Jack Lynch attending the ceremonies. Fr. Albert Bibby OFM Cap. and Fr. Dominic O'Connor OFM Cap. were laid to rest in a burial ceremony on 14 June 1958. The funeral mass was celebrated by Fr. Hilary McDonagh OFM Cap., Vicar Provincial, and the coffins were laid side by side adjacent to the grave of Fr. Augustine Hayden OFM Cap. A letter from Fr. C. O’Neill, St. Peter’s Presbytery, Milford Street, to Fr. Canice Bourke OFM Cap., a Capuchin friar, referring to the effects of bombing raids during the Belfast Blitz in April 1941. He writes ‘A great disaster has befallen this city and I have lost a few very saintly tertiaries. Many people have left, for the houses are not habitable; others have fled in fear. But no-one on the Falls Road area was injured. The Catholic Church in the city was damaged save for a few panes of glass. The disaster will affect our Triduum somewhat, but I think it is better to have it, all the same. It would never do to give up on prayer and the people are saying the Rosary in the streets every night in this parish. The horror of an air-raid is inconceivable until one has seen it’.

This series comprises a collection of local newspapers (mostly published in Kilkenny). Many of the items include articles covering events and ceremonies connected with the Capuchin friars in the city.

Founded by Edmund Finn in 1767, this newspaper was published in Kilkenny twice weekly (on Wednesdays and Saturdays). It also included local news from surrounding counties including Carlow, Kildare, Tipperary, and Waterford. Following the death of her husband in 1777, Catherine Finn took over the running of the paper. It was subsequently published as the 'Leinster Journal' (1801-1830), and the 'Kilkenny Journal and Leinster Commercial and Literary Advertiser' (1832-1922). The file includes the following editions:
