A recital of an earlier lease (dated 8 Apr. 1769) by William Colles to George Chapman of the said house for three lives at the yearly rent of £14 10s is given. Thomas Ottewell Moore, Leskinferne, County Wexford and his wife Rachel Moore (née Colles), to Joseph Empson, boot and shoemaker, Kilkenny city, of the premises known as the ‘Munster Arms’ on Walkin Street, Kilkenny, in consideration of one peppercorn in fines payable for the renewal of lives in the original lease. With copy schedule of the properties to which the foregoing deed refers. Number eight in the schedule refers to the house and concerns on Walkin Street held under a lease of lives renewable forever dated 25 May 1835. (See CA KK/2/1/1/1/4).

Copy will and probate of Joseph Empson, Kilkenny city. He leaves all his property to his wife Margaret for her use and that of their children. The probate was granted on 29 Sept. 1859.

Certified copies of the will and probate of James Montgomery Blair, late of Hereford, and latterly of 122 Rue de la Citidelle, Calais. He leaves his all his property to Jeremiah Easter, Belle Vue, Margate, and appoints him as his sole executor. The will was attested, and probate was granted to Jeremiah Easter in the Prerogative Court of Ireland on 14 May 1839. Copies made 24 Mar. 1916.

Assignment from Mary Deegan, Walkin Street, to Fr. Patrick Ignatius Collins OFM Cap. and Fr. Denis Thaddeus Field OFM Cap., Capuchin Friary, Kilkenny, of a dwelling house and premises situated on Walkin Street. The deed recites that Kate Horner (died 17 Aug. 1933) was possessed of premises on Walkin Street held on a monthly or weekly tenancy from the Corporation of Kilkenny. Mary Deegan, as Kate Horner’s executrix, agrees to sell the deceased’s interest in the premises subject to the payment of rent and the performance of the tenant’s obligations for £100. With copy memoranda of agreement and copy probate of Mary Kate Horner dated 10 Oct. 1933.
