Memorandum of agreement of Stephen Lalor [var. Lawlor], builder, Walkin Street, Kilkenny with Fr. Fidelis Neary OSFC, guardian, Capuchin Friary. The agreement (compiled by M.M. Murphy, solicitor) stipulates that Lalor will complete the building works on the Capuchin Friary and Chapel in Kilkenny according to the specifications set down by Samuel Francis Hynes, architect. The total cost of the works and labour is £3,430 13s 4d.

Killian Flynn OFM Cap. as Education Secretary General (1949); the need for more missionary sisters (Holy Faith Sisters, Sisters of Mercy, the Irish Sisters of Charity and the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Africa); the opening of the church at the Holy Family Mission, Katima Mulilo. (Mar. 1954); the building of a new convent and girls’ boarding school at Maramba. (July 1953); his proposal to resign as Bishop of Livingstone ‘in line with the gradual Zambianization of the Hierarchy’. (10 Aug. 1969). A memoriam card for Terence MacSwiney. The card reads ‘In Loving Memory of Toirdhealbhach Mac Suibhne [Terence MacSwiney] TD, Commandant 1st Cork Brigade IRA. Lord Mayor of Cork. Who died for his Country in Brixton Prison, England, 26th October, 1920. (4th Year of the Irish Republic)’ with a portrait photograph and religious text. This particular card gives the date of his death as 26 October, but MacSwiney died on the morning of 25 October.

A letter from Cyril Clemens, President of the Mark Twain Society, to Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap., welcoming him to the Society. Clemens also refers to his request for images of the late Cardinal Joseph J. Glennon.

A letter from Gearóid Mac Eoin (1909-2003) to Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. Mac Eoin refers to 'The Capuchin Annual' as a 'magnificent production' which has impressed in the United States.
