Lease by Fr. Edward (Peter) Bowe OSFC, Fr. Bartholomew Brophy OSFC and Fr. Nicholas Murphy OSFC, ‘the sub-lessors’, to John Morgan, North King Street, ‘the sub-lessee’, of the houses known as nos. 56 Brown Street and nos. 43 and 44 Bow Street, for 134 years at the yearly rent of £10 and in consideration of the sum of £212 12s 0d. The deed contains an annexed sketch map depicting the demised premises. Scale: 16 feet to 1 inch.

Lease by John Cornwall Brady, Myschall House, County Carlow, to Fr. Paul Neary OSFC, Fr. Nicholas Murphy OSFC and Fr. Columbus Maher OSFC, Church Street, Dublin, of a plot of ground on the west side of Church Street ‘formerly called Proper Lane’ for 99 years at the annual rent of £10.

Receipt signed by Michael Meade & Son for £305 received from Fr. [Nicholas] Murphy for principal and interest on account for building works at St. Mary of the Angels, Church Street. Endorsed on reverse: ‘Amount of debt due - £3,200 … by cash as per other side £305, now due £2,967, 21st March 1888’.

Schedules and lists of deeds and leases relating to properties and premises held by the Capuchin friars, Church Street. Many of the schedules of deeds were prepared by solicitors investigating title to the properties or were deposited in banks. Some of the documents were supplied to Fr. Nicholas Murphy OSFC. • Particulars of holdings on Bow Street and Church Street compiled by Terence O’Reilly & Son, 5 North Great George’s Street, solicitor. c.1900.
• Receipt for a schedule of deeds supplied on loan from the National Bank Ltd., College Green. c.1910.
• List of deeds received from Messrs Little, O’Huadhaigh & Proud relating to the Capuchin Friary of St. Mary of the Angels. 10 Jan. 1941.

Lease by Thomas Murphy to Fr. Peter (Edward) Bowe OSFC, Fr. Fiacre (Bartholomew) Brophy and Fr. Nicholas (Maurice) Murphy OSFC, Church Street, Dublin, of a parcel of ground situated on the west side of Bow Street. In consideration of £540 and £110 and for the residue of the terms (two hundred years) specified in the original leases dating to 20 April 1842 and 11 May 1843.

Stephen Bolger OSFC, Chester, to Fr. Pacificus Anthony Perucci OSFC, Chester, Fr. Simeon Gaudillot OSFC, Charlotte Quay, Cork, Fr. Joseph Martin Harkins OSFC, Fr. Thomas B. Kavanagh OSFC, North King Street, and Fr. Nicholas Maurice Murphy OSFC and Fr. Bernard Joseph Jennings OSFC, Charlotte Quay, of the residue of a lease dated 8 Mar. 1875 (CA HT/2/1/2/13) of premises on Charlotte Quay in consideration of 10s. Endorsed on title page: ‘Assignment of lease of Convent’.

Assignment from the Munster Bank Ltd. (the vendors) to Fr. Simeon Gaudillot OSFC (1836-1910), Fr. Nicholas Maurice Murphy OSFC and Fr. Bernard Joseph Jennings OSFC, Charlotte Quay, Cork (the purchasers) of the residue of a lease dated Oct. 1781 (see CA HT/2/1/2/4) of premises on Charlotte Quay in consideration of £2,500 – £500 to be paid immediately with the remaining sum to be paid in ‘five instalments of £400 each within five years from the date hereof with interest’. With a deed of covenant from the Bank indemnifying the purchasers in respect of any legacies, law suits, equity claims and demands arising out of the will and codicils of William Clarke on the said premises. The file also includes a copy memorial of an assignment from Fr. Seraphim Van Damme OSFC and others to Henry Sutton Noblet, solicitor, 25 South Mall, Cork, of the residue of the aforementioned lease in consideration of £20 (dated 1882).

Deed of covenant of title for the assignment of properties on Charlotte Quay from Thomas Wellbank Morgan, 13 Blackheath Rise, Lewisham, Kent, and others to Fr. Maurice (Nicholas) Murphy OSFC, Fr. Thomas (Matthew) O’Connor OSFC, Fr. Joseph (Bernard) Jennings OSFC and Fr. Edward (Peter) Bowe OSFC, Charlotte Quay, Cork. The deed refers to the intended purchase by the Capuchin friars of the said premises as set out in a deed of assignment dated 21 Jan. 1895. With a declaration of James Scanlan, 69 South Mall, Cork, agent, affirming that he has, for the past sixteen years, received the rents of the Charlotte Quay properties for Thomas Wellbank Morgan. 1 Jan. 1895.
