Copy lease by Atwell Hayes, Cork, to Christopher Allen, Burgess, Cork, of ‘one field or meadow with a garden thereon situate and being in Friars Walk in the South Liberty of the said City of Cork containing 3 acres 2 roods 6 perches … and also 3 fields part of the lands of Curraconway containing 5 acres and twenty seven perches statue measure’, for 850 years at the yearly rent of £26 2s 4d. An annotation in the margin indicates that the aforementioned lot on Friars Walk was assigned to the Capuchin friars ‘and indemnified by the other lot against a greater rent of £70 10s 0d’.

Copy will and last testament of Isaac Mee, Cork city, merchant. He bequeaths all his leasehold interests in Cork to his wife, Susanna Mee. He appoints his wife, and friends, Michael Wood and Daniel Callaghan, merchants, his executors.

Renewal of a lease from Abraham, Richard and Rachel Colles, Millmount, County Kilkenny, grandsons and granddaughter of William Colles, late of Abbeyvale, deceased, to Richard Empson, merchant, of the premises known as the ‘Munster Arms’ on Walkin Street in Kilkenny, in consideration of the fines payable for the addition of two of the three lives referred to in the original lease of 8 Apr. 1769. (See CA KK/2/1/1/1/1).

Marriage 'Settlement on the Intermarriage of William Pilsworth Esq[uire] with Miss Martha Mary Burrowes', relating to property at Blackrock. The description on the reverse reads 'In Chancery: In the matter of the Trustee Act 1850 Ex parte Edward Pilsworth a minor & o[the]rs. This is the deed referred to in the Affidavit of Charles Cavanagh, sworn before me this 30th day of June 1853. MDM. Charles Cavanagh'. Martha Mary Burrowes was the eldest daughter of Reverend John Burrowes. The marriage settlement names various members of the Burrowes and Pilsworth families, as well as lands in Counties Longford and Westmeath, and land in Dublin, including Prospect in Blackrock.
The settlement is signed and accompanied by wax seals by William Pilsworth, Edward Pilsworth and Martha Mary Burrowes.

Lease by Nicholas Cummins, Cork, to Russell Deeble, Cork, victualler, of a dwelling house and grounds situated on Shandon Castle Lane, Parish of Saint Mary Shandon, Cork, for 750 years at the yearly rent of £14.

Lease of William Gerald Bagot, Castle Bagot, County Dublin, to Fr. Patrick Corcoran OSFC, Church Street Chapel, of a plot of ground with the Charity School thereon for the life of the lessee or 41 years at the yearly rent of £9 2s 0d. The plot is situated ‘on the north side of the passage which is between Bow Street and the yard of the Chapel in Church Street … together with the house or tenement lately erected … called and known by the name of the Charity School the lower apartment of which is now occupied and used as and for the Charity School of the said Chapel, and the two upper apartments of which are now in the occupation of the said Reverend Patrick Corcoran or other clergymen of the Chapel’. The plot is bounded to the west by a ‘Charitable Penitentiary Asylum’.

Copy probate of the will and codicil of Mathew Butler, North King Street, Dublin dated 3 Feb. 1812. The will specifies that all his property on North King Street be ‘sold at publick auction within one month after my death that is to say the interest in the lease of the house I now live in with all the stock and trade contained therein and warehouses and household furniture wines and spirits except twelve dozen of claret and twelve dozen of port which I bequeath to the Rev. William Russell of Hendrick Street …’. He also refers to his interest in Nos. 44 and 61 North King Street. Probate granted 14 Feb. 1812.
