Handwritten letter to + McQuaid from Una Byrne saying she heard Miss Blake, a teacher in Kings Inn School, speak at a IHA meeting and that there is no doubt of her Marxist sympathies. She attends meetings in the house of Jeffrey Palmer in Castleknock.

Handwritten minutes of ‘V’ Committee meeting. John Galhen, Secretary, British Communist Party, was invited to speak at the Trinity debate but was unable to attend. He was replaced by Bill Garritt. Shirley Armstrong and Sal Duffy elected to the new Fencing Committee. The group frequently goes abroad, including to Iron Curtain countries. Worth watching them. Sean O’Rourke, Lily O’Rourke and Geoffrey Palmer visited Moscow for the May Day Parade. Cutting taken from The Irish Times, 3 May.
