Card. Padigini to Asks t. to make enquiries about the dispute in Ennis between the Franciscans and their bishop, Dr. McMabon; Fr. John Mulleck, O.F.M. complains that the bp will not allow them to make collections during Mass and maintains that the people of Ennis do not fulfil their Sunday obligation by attending Mass at the Franciscan Church.
