Handwritten report. A resolution of opposition to Hutt, NUJ, for Easter Congress passed by Independent Chapel. Dublin Branch unanimously decided that Irish delegates would oppose him if there was any opposition to him. Otherwise no. Talk of paper being bought out by Workers’ League. Told that Jack White of Times and Jim Downey of Mail appointed research team to publish items, presumably to injure the Church, e.g. Fethard-on-Sea. Wonders who the building worker in The Evening Mail letter controversy is. Getting the Nolan’s a great deal of publicity.
