Informed them he had not had time to study the Scheme. Suggests that + D’Alton form a Committee to meet the Minister for preliminary discussions. Must act rapidly.

Typed letter to Fr. Mangan from Fr. Peter Cunningham. Says that Hugh P. Allen’s letter states facts fairly and accurately. He met parishioners during visitation who supported Wheatly. They felt he had not been treated fairly. He feels they are fortunate to have a Catholic of Allen’s ability and courage. Is now leaving the decision to the Archbishop on what should be done next.
