He mentions he will arrive in Cobh in August with +Toolen and + Frank McCormack and hopes the Archbishop will be able to join them on a trip to Glendalough.
Letter from +Toolen to +McQuaid outlining the need for Sisters to work in the new parish of St. Pius X. They would help run a school for coloured children. The parish would provide a home and pay for utilities and assist in their start up. Their salaries would be on a par with any paid in the country. He mentions Mgr. Tom Cullen and his nephew, Fr. Tom Nunan.
