Owing to the vacancy of the Holy See, there will be a delay in granting faculties etc. sought for by L.; thanks L. fer his generous gift of money; it is not true, as some of the bishops state, that Dr. Blake left the Irish College solvent; tbe latter's papers are in complete disorder; Dr. Kelly intends returning to Ireland at Easter; the Roman climate does not suit him; hopes that Catholic Emancipation will prove a blessing to all and that it will be complete.

Goppinger 16 Dr. Blake, ef the Irish College, Rome, is requesting financial support from the bishops; he has not gone about this business very tactfully, and has presumed tee much; the whole future of the Irish Colleges abroad has to be faced by the bisheps, and the Roman establishment especially awaits the decision of the Irish bishops at their next meetinq.
