Your Grace my dear Archbishop
Three years ago to - day I was sitting
m front of you when you told me
the wonderful news- we had permis
sion for a Foundation in the Diocese
of Dublin. I shall never forget that
moment. That is why I am writing
I am sure that you could never
imagine just how I felt! But as
long as I live I shall recall that
moment and you, Your Grace,
with the deepest sentiments of
gratitude. The knowledge of my
own unworthiness makes my
gratitude the greater, and my lov-
ing confidence stronger I hope
y i will never be sorry for
having given the permission
My prayers for you are daily,
and I am sure dear St. Joseph
who has done the miraculous
for me during these three yours
will not fail to do great things for you
too. You have the prayers of some thirty-
seven hundred Sisters praying for you
the last repart I had from st Josephs
there were eleven patients Magnificat!
Is that not the fruit of the Blessing
on May 1st.
I have at last a lovely photo of

Under separate cover Iam sending a reproof a meeting of
Superior Generals held here in Rome, and at which I was privilegid
to be present I dont doubt that all it contains is matter an-
known to you but when I read it over I thought of you. You all
in a position to pass this to so many Nuns and Priests who may
be able to do something tangible to save Bragil and all those Latin
American Countries for the Church I is such an appalling situation
that no one with a spark of zeal could help but want to do some-
thing to help If, even Mel children in the Schools offered a prayer
daily for this great need surely the Missioners would gain courage
and force? I know what an appeal it will make to the

Dear St. Josephs in Raheny is struggling bravely. It is creeping
The fact that it is a little distant from the heart of the city, together
with the fact that the Doctors at ledet many of them dont know it
means that their numbers are still not sufficient for them to

sure your Grace that a word from you to some of the
Doctors would mean much I know your fatherly interest
hasnt waned toward the Foundation you so kindly brought in-
to existence I can never forget you for that and I dont

Now, all I want from him is a building or the money for, one
that will serve as a Novitiate!! That is a big request but not
too big for the big ness of the heart of him who provided all for our
Lady and her child. I do trust him a a he never fails me

with the Ahings of God! Your zeal for God s Church lal often hear
about and yet you are so humble and quiet about it all. Like the

While in Rome you sent a letter to Mother de Pazzi
giving your sanction for an addition of some extra rooms
At the Nursing Home in Raheny. Now, the plans have
been sent to Monsignor Fitzpatrick with changes which we
felt necessary to meet the present needs.
In order to finance this addition, we need to borrow
the sum of ￡40,000. The Bank is willing to give us the
loan on condition that they receive a letter of approval
from Your Grace. Please, may I ask you for this favor?
There is another letter that is necessary for the
Sacred Congregation in order to obtain the Indult. We
Would appreciate your letter of approval.
