Australia: photostat of original letter in Highgate from Fr. Vincent Grogan, C.P., Merrickville, Sydney., to Fr. Gregory Callaghan, C.P., Highgate: Provincial's letter from Carmarthen received. Vincent's letter, as if in reply to Prov's, deals with a financial claim from a Mrs. Held who, he says gave £1000 and was to receive 5% during her lifetime. She was then housekeeper in Evesham: looked after church and got priest his breakfast. Vincent bought furniture at a valuation and paid her. Part went to Warehams: this would not have been done if it were not ours.
1869019 O'Hagan, C.P., Wilfred ;1846034 Bl. Charles Houben - Life:- photocopy of letter from Fr. Wilfred O'Hagan, C.P., to Ada describing to her the scene at the funeral of Fr. Charles, and enclosing for her the sign that Charles wore while he was waking. He can't say whether it is the sign he wore when he was alive. This sign was later recovered by Fr. Oliver Kelly, C.P., and is on display in the Blessed Charles Museum together with the original of this letter.

He has furnished copies of deeds to Mrs. Byrne;s Solicitors. Has to wait till Commisioiners give orders foir sale. Has been consulting Fr. Collier. It woukld be wiae for Passionists to become tenants of Mts. Byrne for 1 year. Can't spend money on the place until sale is completed. This might hasten sale.
