DOMINIC BARBERI - Missions: photocopy of 2nd page of letter from Thomas Constable to Marmaduke Constable-Maxwell. Contains a description of a sermon preached by Dominic in Chapel at Myddlelton Lodge, later St. Pauls Retreat. Letter was discovered by Fr. Edwin Tring. To be found in the Maxwell-Constable of Everingham Family papers, East Riding County Record Office, County Hall, Beverley. (Arundel Castle MS.)

Says that General awaits permission from Pope to go to France and England. No need to say how well we must preepare for such a historic visit. We are praised and criticised in Rone, so let General see what we are like.

Joseph and dated 03/12/1877, authorising the clothing and burial of the Bishop's body in the Passionist habit. (The original of this document is to be found between pp 226 & 227 of Vol III of The Annals of the Anglo Hibernian Province located at 28/6 and a translation of it, done by Osmund Slevin, is at 1-3-7-18.)
