O’Connell, Dr. John F., 197 South Circular Road, Dolphin’s Barn. The present unemployment problem in Dublin is leading to poverty, squalor and illness. He outlines ten suggestions which would help to alleviate the position. These include the formation of a co- operative movement, each school, parish, business to create one job and banning overtime. Dr. McQuaid will study the proposals, but feels the full weight of the scheme should be placed on shoulders other than the ecclesiastical authorities.
