Mount Argus; Bardi Barth Marionettes: In December,1959, the Irish Passionists, through the good offices of the then Provincial; Fr. Fergus :Loughrey, C.P. sponsored a tour of Ireland by the Bardi Barth Marrionettes, titled The Joys and Sorrows of Our Lady. The company was founded and run by Mlle. Bardi Barth, a Swiss painter and sculptress,. She was famed for her style of painting and at the conclusion of the tour she presented this painting to the provincial as an expression of her gratitude for the sponsorship of the Irish tour. Fr. Fergus was of the opinion that it could be valuable. Also donated were an album of souvenir photos of the tour and a bound volume of colourn plates of Bardi's paintings and her marionettes.
